During Cory Chelko's time at Penn State, the Environmental Soil Science major was involved in activities outside the classroom, including the Weed Science Team and the Agronomy Club.
As a zone support coordinator at TA Seeds, Chelko provides technical support on products and promotes research and sales behind the scenes. He enjoys traveling up and down the East Coast and learning about farming operations in different climates.
"The knowledge I've gained on the job has been a great addition to my valuable experiences at Penn State," Chelko said.
In addition to his classes, the Environmental Soil Science major was involved in activities outside the classroom, including the Weed Science Team and the Agronomy Club.
"The availability of these activities is one of the strengths of the College of Ag Sciences," he said. "The majority of students gather outside the classroom - it provides hands-on experience and you get to tour different facilities and operations."
