Calves, lambs, and piglets drew flocks of students and community members to the HUB lawn yesterday as part of Ag Day, an event sponsored by the College of Ag Sciences to promote ag literacy.

As part of the Spanish for the Ag Sciences program, I visited my first Latin American country and improved my Spanish during a month-long immersion experience in Costa Rica.

While the College of Ag Sciences’ Agricultural Progress Days event isn’t really a secret, it certainly isn’t as well known to college students as it should be. Finished yesterday, Ag Progress Days is held each year about 2 weeks before classes start and is the perfect combination of food, friends, and interactive learning.

Following our second place finish this summer on Lake Champlain, ERM grad Grae Buck and I had the opportunity to compete at the FLW College Fishing Northern Conference Championship on Philpott Lake in Virginia!

This weekend, Jess and I attended the Great Insect Fair in the Bryce Jordan Center.
