The Paul R. and Joan M. Shellenberger Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching

The Paul R. and Joan M. Shellenberger Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching; this recognition is for full-time instructors (rank of instructor) with teaching appointments (not on tenure track) in the College of Agricultural Sciences who exhibit excellence in undergraduate teaching and contribute significantly to the education of undergraduate students

Nominations and awards are based on accomplishments during the past year (comprising the summer, fall, and spring semesters of the 2016-17 academic calendar) in formal undergraduate and graduate instruction, including resident instruction and online instruction.  Note that teaching as part of Cooperative Extension does not qualify for nomination in this award category.  As per award guidelines, nominations from outside the university will be accepted until October 6, 2017.  These community nominations will be sent to the respective units for additional information required to complete the nomination packets.

The Paul R. and Joan M. Shellenberger Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Recipient of this teaching award will obtain…

  1. A framed award certificate
  2. $1,000 award to recipient
