Diversity Coordinating Council
The Diversity Coordinating Council of the College of Agricultural Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University is dedicated to diversity, multicultural understanding and cross-cultural competence. To be successful, we must work as a system, infusing competence in every aspect of what we do. As an advisory council, we are dedicated to providing a positive and inclusive climate for all faculty, staff and students by providing recommendations and information sharing on programs and services.
Key Roles performed by the Diversity Coordinating Council are:
- To provide information for reports related to multicultural activity, educational equity, affirmative action and civil rights.
- To pose questions, additions or changes that will stimulate and enhance initiatives as reflected in the vision and strategic plan of the Framework to Foster Diversity, College of Agricultural Sciences, and the Office of Multicultural Programs.
- To share information related to diversity across the major functions of the college.
- Serve as liaisons between the council and the academic and service units in the college.
