'They have so much wisdom’ says senior Marisa DeGennaro in a special GEWeek episode of the podcast Entrepreneurial State of Mind

Senior Marisa DeGennaro is hooked on Global Entrepreneurship Week, a week-long series of hundreds of events held Nov. 12-16 around the Penn State campus to celebrate and share the value of entrepreneurship.

Why?

GEWeek speakers who tell their own stories of entrepreneurship and running their own business "have so much wisdom," DeGennaro tells student Katie DeFiore, in the most recent episode of her Entrepreneurial State of Mind podcast.

Plugging into that entrepreneurial mindset "teaches you how to be scrappy" says DeGennaro, a Penn State senior and executive director of Happy Valley Communications.

And even if you don't have plans to run your own business, thinking like an entrepreneur "makes you like a warrior."

DeFiore also interviewed Ben Nason and Aaron Lamphere about their GEWeek experiences.

"I gained a sense of community from GEWeek," says Nason, an alumnus entrepreneur.
