Make a Pitch in 30 Seconds

Posted: October 16, 2014

Pitch your ideas for solutions -- you can do it in 30 seconds! Mark Gagnon's 30-second video update on 1000 Pitches, the world's largest student pitch competition, shows you how. Gagnon is the Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program.

See a problem? Picture a solution and pitch your idea in a video of about 30 seconds.

Ag 300 challenges students in the College of Agricultural Sciences to pitch 300 ideas to this year's 1000 Pitches competition, the world's largest student pitch competition. Student organizations can earn donations to THON and every student who pitches will receive an Ag 300 t-shirt.

"I know you guys can do it," says Mark Gagnon, Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program. "I know you have a lot of great ideas."

Gagnon challenged students to catch Michigan, which leads the nine-university competition with 520 pitches. Penn State began the week with fewer than 90 pitches and by Thursday reached 117.

Your idea can be for a new product, new device, new technology, new business or new non-profit organization.

Need help? Attend a pitch recording night at one of the College of Ag Sciences' club meetings — or email Gagnon at mag199@psu.edu.

Pitch early! Pitch often!
