What We Do

ENRI Initiatives

The overarching goal of the Nutrient Initiative is to more fully engage the College of Agricultural Sciences and Penn State in research, education, and outreach to address water quality problems related to nutrients in Pennsylvania and beyond. We envision the initiative as an innovative partnership between Penn State, the state legislature, state and federal agencies, communities, industry, environmental organizations in which Penn State’s role is to provide research, and education, and to facilitate stakeholder engagement essential to crafting successful strategies.

Seeking to advance the science of environmental markets and incentives and to provide education and outreach on the use of markets and incentives to decision makers.

The Lower Susquehanna Initiative seeks to increase and integrate Penn State’s education, research, and extension capacity with partners in southcentral Pennsylvania, with an initial focus on Dauphin, Lancaster, and Lebanon Counties.
