Tara has been with the Pennsylvania Rural-Urban Leadership Program since November 2003. She claims she has the greatest job in the world! A graduate of South Hills Business School in State College, Tara has a degree in Business Administration, Management, and Marketing. She is a graduate of Leadership Centre County and has served eight RULE classes. Tara received the Ambassador Award from the College of Agricultural Sciences in May of 2015. In October of 2019, Tara received the International Association of Programs for Agricultural Leaders (IAPAL) Program Support Award. Tara is the first recipient in IAPAL to receive this award.

 Some of Tara's responsibilities include:

- Tara is in charge of alumni relations for RULE's 700 alumni base.

- Manages RULE's website and social media.

- Works with the Nuffield Ag Farming Scholars and other state and global leadership programs to schedule logistics and site visits for scholars & groups visiting PA.

- Manages and coordinates volunteers on site at Ag Progress Days (Pennsylvania Furnace, PA) for the three-day event.

- Manages volunteerism base and serves at the Pennsylvania Livestock Association booth, at the PA Farm Show (Harrisburg, PA)

- Co-presents with RULE Program Director, JD Dunbar, for stakeholder, corporate client & nonprofit workshops.

- Volunteers as speaker/mentor to Independent Living Skills, 2010-2020.

- Has coordinated 95 RULE study institute schedules and eight global/national leadership study institutes, including managing a collaborative international study institute.                 

- Scheduling and coordination of guest speakers for study institutes including topics, audio visual needs, set-up, handouts, travel, meals, and lodging arrangements.          

- Maintaining budget for RULE.

-RULE is one of 38 programs in the nation and 44 in the world. Tara is in contact with all of these programs via listserve and at times, face-to-face interaction.

Tara, along with her two daughters, Taylor (13) and Morgan (10), reside in Centre Hall, Centre County. Tara is a volunteer youth softball league treasurer. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as rock climbing and mountain biking.
