Nicole Santangelo Thompson is the Field & Forage Crops Team Leader and Agronomy Educator based in Northern Pennsylvania. She holds two undergraduate degrees in Agricultural Business and Animal Science and a master degree from Cornell University in Agriculture Education.

Nicole's work stems from the needs of local farmers. Her expertise in Forage Production is testament to the regions ability to grow quality grass pastures, hay and various types of haylage and silage. Programs she has helped develop are derived from the interface of crops and livestock.

She is a former president of the Pennsylvania Agronomic Education Society, Past President of the Pennsylvania Association of County Agricultural Agents and is a Certified Crop Adviser. She also currently serves as the Pennsylvania State Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Coordinator.
