Since 1999, Abby Hopkins Floyd has played in integral role in the success of Penn State's fundraising efforts. Abby first joined the College of Agricultural Sciences in 1999 before taking a position as associate director of recognition and later associate director of stewardship in the University's Office of Donor Relations and Special Events. Abby returned to the college in 2018 where she engages alumni in conversation to learn about their experiences, share ways they can choose to be connected, and provide guidance on how they can have a meaningful impact at Penn State.

Abby's broad skill set includes stewardship strategies, communications and presentation expertise, leadership experience, and more. She also served as conference chair for the 2019 Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District V, currently serves as Secretary for the CASE District V Cabinet, and is a member of Penn State's LGBT Support Network.

Abby has a lifelong history with Penn State. Her first gift was made as a child watching WPSU's fund drive, and in adulthood she has given to many areas across the University, including the Andrea A. Leonard Student Award in the College of Agricultural Sciences and The Arboretum at Penn State. The daughter of a music professor, Abby is one of nine Penn Staters in her family and a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association. Abby resides in State College with her family.
