The Pasteurizer Operator's Workshop will be held November 4-5, 2009 on the Penn State University Park campus. The course is led by Dr. Robert Roberts, associate professor in Penn State's Department of Food Science, in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and speakers from equipment and supply companies.
This two-day program includes hands-on activities, discussions, and lectures on regulations, cleaning and sanitizing, pasteurization, milk flavor, and other operational procedures in milk plants. Time will be spent in Penn State's Berkey Creamery using the latest short-time system available.
