STEP 8. Manage Event Cancellations

Events that have been carefully planned by the program team and endorsed by the State Extension Team will not be responsible for any fees if an event is canceled due to low registration.

The requester is responsible for informing the registration website developer and registrants in the event of a cancellation prior to the start of the event. The appropriate Extension Leadership will be notified.

Registrant contact information (email and phone number) is available through the reporting feature of the Extension registration system in Cvent.

Phone calls to registrants are the best practice, particularly when the timeline is within several days of the event. An email notification can be sent from the Extension Registration system; however, an acknowledgement is required at a minimum.
