The 2023 Turkey Sale is just around the corner, and we're getting everything ready for the big day! Every fall, our club brings you fresh, dressed turkeys as our main fundraiser. This year, we're aiming for turkeys in the 16-19 pound range. Our sale will work much like before – you will pre-order your turkeys and then pick them up on November 19, 2023. However, we've made it super easy for you this year with an online order and payment form that will go LIVE on October 20, 2023, at NOON. Once you've submitted your order, you'll receive an email confirmation of your order details, including the pickup date, time, location, and payment receipt. So, mark your calendars and get ready for some delicious turkey!

Here are some key points:

  1. This year, our turkeys will weigh between 16 and 19 pounds.
  2. It's a first come first-served deal for all the birds, and each person can only order one turkey. The online order form will go live on October 20, 2023, at NOON. Orders will be taken in the order they're received, and once we run out of turkeys, our waiting list will activate. If you are on the waiting list and a turkey becomes available, you will be notified by email and given the option to reserve a turkey. Individuals on the waiting list will be notified in order.
  3. Pricing is straightforward. All Grade #1 turkeys will cost $45 each, while Grade #2 turkeys (we have very few) will be $37 each. All orders will be processed as Grade #1 turkeys. Closer to the pickup date, when Grade #2 quantities are known, requested orders for Grade 2 will be filled as availability permits, first come, first served, resulting in an $8 refund.
  4. This year, we are accepting payment at the time of the order with a credit or debit card. Please note, if you successfully ordered and paid for a turkey, you will get a turkey!
  5. If you've successfully ordered, you can pick up your turkey on the designated date in 30-minute time blocks. You will be given option to select a preferred pickup time when you place your order. Since parking and space are limited, this arrangement helps things run smoothly. Waiting list turkeys will also be called as they become available on the pickup day. At your designated time, you will drive up, show your confirmation email, and get your turkey. If you need to change your pickup time, you can modify your order online using the link in your confirmation email or you may contact Customer Service (1-877-345-0691, M-F) to request this change over the phone. On the day of pickup, please contact us directly if you will not be able to make your scheduled pickup time. Keep in mind that this sale coincides with the university's fall break, and student housing closes, making it difficult to distribute birds beyond Sunday.
  6. We'll start contacting people on the waiting list if there are turkeys available or at the end of the pickup time on Sunday at 3:00 PM. We'll also notify everyone on the waiting list by email once all the turkeys are sold.
