Block and Bridle club has created a prestigious club that will benefit the club's endowment fund. The Saddle and Sirloin Club membership can only be obtained by the purchase of the principle's club saddle. Each inductee will receive exclusive membership, an official certificate, and will have their name forever engraved on a plate to be placed on the saddle's latigo. The saddle will remain at the University, displayed in the Traditions Room, as an official symbol of the Saddle & Sirloin Club.
The inaugural sale took place at the Stockman's Banquet on April 7, 2017 located at the Ramada Inn in State College. A huge thanks to everyone who donated money to "purchase" the saddle. We raised $10,000 for our endowment account! Harold Harpster and Vivian Baumer will forever be recognized as the first official members of Penn State's Saddle and Sirloin Club.
