2008 Recipients

Jim Davis, Chair of the Membership Committee, presented the Council's sixth series of leadership awards on October 27. The awards were created to recognize individuals in the agricultural community at large who demonstrate outstanding leadership, communications, and advocacy skills; exhibit the highest levels of professionalism, performance, innovation, judgment, and problem-solving skills encourage personal development, partnerships, collaboration, and respect; and serve as a role model, mentor, diplomat, and inspiration. Each recipient received a lion statue and their names will be on a permanent display in the Agricultural Administration Building.

Congratulations to the following recipients:

  • Leadership Award, Tom Wambaugh
  • Youth Leadership Award, Alex Lauffer
  • Leadership in Action Award, The School of Forest Resources Alumni Group
