Responsible for creating programs to build relationships with the council and legislators and provide budget advocacy for the college. Responsibilities also include administration of the Ag Action Network as well as other legislative initiatives.
Responsible for increasing and maintaining the membership and attendance at council functions, helping members select delegates, training new delegates, and reviewing the council bylaws periodically, making appropriate recommendations for changes as necessary. The committee is also responsible for press releases, the council website, and other publicity-oriented activities, as well as administration of the Ag Leadership Awards and assisting the college in identifying and training future agricultural leaders
Responsible for increasing the value of attending council events for both members and the college. Responsibilities include developing ways to continually promote partnerships with members, faculty, extension, researchers, and administration, as well as planning for the spring and fall member meetings, Dean’s Industry Tours, Unit Leader Luncheons, and working with the Legislative Committee on the Summer Research Tour.
Responsible for providing guidance in implementing the strategic priorities identified in the college strategic plan and providing input regarding how the college can build on these areas of innovation to best meet the needs of the agricultural industry. The committee is responsible for developing and implementing methods for the collection of industry input to assist the college with strategic planning and ensure the relevancy of education, research, and extension.
Nominating Committee of three (3) current Board members to prepare a slate of candidates for positions as Officers, to be elected by the Board of Directors. Committee will be expanded to include a non-board member to prepare a slate of candidates for positions on the Board of Directors to be elected by the Council membership in October.
