Welcome from the Show Manager

As interim manager of the Ag Progress Days Show, I would like to welcome you and your guests to the show. APD 2017 will be my 21st show and we’ve been very blessed working with many of the exhibitors as the Facilities Coordinator for all these years. We celebrated the increased growth of exhibitors to over 500 in 2016. We’re very optimistic that the show will continue to grow, with both the commercial exhibitors and agricultural producers coming together at our excellent venue in central Pennsylvania. Celebrate with us and support Agriculture in Pennsylvania!

Our show has a strong agricultural education theme, supported by the College of Agricultural Sciences, government agencies, and the commercial industry. This outreach event supports the College's commitment to expand our impact by nurturing partnerships to respond to critical issues affecting the Commonwealth and beyond. We know that 60% of our audience is directly related to agriculture and that this audience can find the most current technology and equipment to keep their agricultural operations profitable and sustain the environment.

The show does have something for everyone: children’s activities such as tree climbing and 4H robotics, exhibits focused on family health and safety, yard and garden advisors, water resource management, and best conservation practices. Of course, equipment demonstrations, equine shows and educational tours/presentations are always of interest. Many of the folks tell us that they can’t see all the show in one day, so please join us for a day or two at the 2017 Ag Progress Days Show with free parking, free admission and a wide array of wonderful food vendors.

Respectfully,

Jesse M. Darlington
