I am indebted to The Pennsylvania State University and the College of Agricultural Sciences for the education and training I received as an undergraduate and graduate student. Penn State provided me the solid foundation from which I was able to pursue a career in agricultural research. My involvement in the development of crop protection molecules has allowed me to travel and to understand the dynamics of the ever-changing agricultural production systems around the world. Serving as a committee member on the Student Engagement Committee and an elected director of the Ag Alumni Society, I have reconnected with the College and become more involved with activities that directly support our students. Penn State has all the resources necessary to provide our students with the foundation needed for successful agricultural careers. Through mentoring programs, scholarships, internships, social networking and outreach, our College prepares its students to be valued members of the workplace. I believe my experience will bring new insight into how these resources should best be used to ensure our students succeed in a highly-competitive environment. I feel privileged to be re-elected as a member of the Ag Alumni Society Board of Directors , so I may serve the College and University that have served me so well.
