Internship Award Guidelines

The College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Society is pleased to offer a competitive awards program to encourage undergraduate students to participate in internships. The Society recognizes the importance of a planned on-the-job learning experience to adequately prepare undergraduate students for today’s competitive job market.

Based upon the following established criteria, the Society proudly offers $1000 awards to undergraduate students in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Awards are credited to students’ accounts at the University.

Eligibility: All full-time baccalaureate students in the College of Agricultural Sciences (and Agricultural and Biological Engineering majors) who have successfully completed an internship for credit or non-credit that relates to their field of study and/or their post graduation career interests.

Eligible Semesters: Fall Semester 2016, Spring Semester 2017, and Summer Semester 2017

Criteria: Self-nomination packets must include the following documents:

  1. Completed application form.
  2. A report that is three to five pages, single-spaced, 12-point font with one-inch margins, and submitted in a two pocket folder, including the following discussion points.
    • Goals for the internship or what you wanted to gain from the internship.
    • Process used to achieve your goals or specific tasks you completed to meet your goals.
