Academic Department Heads Named
April 16, 2012
- After careful deliberation and close consultation with faculty and staff, Dean Bruce McPheron on April 13, 2012, announced department chairs to lead the College's nine reconstituted academic departments.

Penn State Extension Directors Named
November 14, 2011
- The 19 district directors and urban county directors, along with their effective dates, have been announced to begin the implementation of the new administrative structure across the state.

Trustees approve College of Ag Sciences academic restructuring
November 11, 2011
- Penn State's Board of Trustees approved the plan submitted by the College of Agricultural Sciences to restructure the college's academic departments, reducing their number from 12 to nine. The new structure formally will take effect July 1, 2012.

Penn State Extension Announces Six Administrative Districts

- Extension officially launched six districts as part of its new district model to provide administrative services.

- Penn State Extension rolls out a new programmatic model that focuses Extension programs around unique areas of excellence within the college and empowers program teams to develop and deliver high quality programs in all 67 counties.

Faculty Senate Approves Academic Restructuring Proposal
September 28, 2011
- On September 27, 2011, the University Faculty Senate unanimously approved the college's proposal for new academic department structure. The proposal is now on the agenda for the November 11 Penn State Board of Trustees meeting.
