Watershed community events and workshops abounded this summer.

Beginning Fall 2011, the Penn State Agriculture and Environment Center website will feature one article each week from the Conewago Currents. The Conewago Currents is a newsletter that that explores the discoveries underway in the Conewago Creek Initiative - a targeted watershed approache - providing updates on what is being done to improve water quality impacts from all landscapes - working lands, neighborhoods, and public lands. 'The Coordinator's Report', authored by Penn State Extension's Matt Royer, provides an overview of the work underway in this season. Spring was so wet this year in parts of Pennsylvania that eventual crop yields may be in jeopardy due to delayed planting, according to experts in Penn State's College of Agriculture Sciences.
