Jenna Mitchell currently works at the Lancaster County Conservation District as an Erosion and Sedimentation Technician. With this position, she reviews permits involving chapter 102 and 105 regulations, and inspects construction sites for soil and water quality issues.

Jenna's degree in ERM gave her an incredibly well-rounded education and experiences that set her up perfectly for transitioning into her job. From soil pits to class debates, the ERM degree is exceptionally valuable. She was, and still is, surprised by how often lessons learned in the classroom arise in various projects at the Conservation District.
Interning at the AEC was life-changing for Jenna. She was introduced to the world of watershed restoration, strengthening her passion for water quality. She was given the opportunity to write an amendment to the original Conewago Watershed Implementation Plan and make her first real contribution to the real world. She met so many wonderful and inspiring people- many of which she has kept in contact with- networking is just as important as everyone always says it is. "I do not know where I would be had it not been for the opportunity to intern at the AEC!" says Jenna.
